Personalities

In most families with more than one child, there are usually several different personality styles at play among these siblings.  After years of helping families divide furniture and personal property in estate settlements, it has become clear to me that there is one thing more than any other that causes much of the conflict that tends to erupt during this stressful and emotional time . . . it's the differences in personalities.  Although there are several other causes (to be discussed separately) I am convinced that a better understanding of personality styles will make a tremendous difference in the outcome of any estate settlement - especially with regard to preserving good relationships.
